Microwave Telemetry, Inc. has been a leader in the development of Argos-compatible bird tracking transmitters for wildlife research since 1991.
- Our extensive line of bird-tracking transmitters range in size from 95 grams down to a mere 9.5 grams. Our unique Argos/GPS transmitters allow the researcher to add location accuracy down to ± 15m.
- Our Ground Track™ option allows the researcher to find and recover transmitters in the field post-mortem.
- Satellite in View (SiV™) technology increases the lifetime of the transmitter by activating it only when there is the greatest likelihood of a satellite being above the horizon to receive the transmitter's signals.
Our line of archival pop-up fish-tracking transmitters is being successfully used to track various species of fish including bluefin tuna, whale sharks, and white sharks.
