PTT-100 9.5 gram Solar PTT
For the first time, we are making available a PTT weighing less than 10 grams! With this solar powered PTT, it is now possible to satellite track birds in the 300 gram range.
Like all of our other solar powered PTTs, our 9.5 g version uses a rechargeable battery that is charged by the solar array under the control of the internal microprocessor. The capacity of the battery, when fully charged, is sufficient to allow transmissions through the night.
Our unique mortality Ground Track (GT™) feature is available as an option. Assuming the solar array is still recharging the battery, it is possible to precisely locate a detached PTT or dead bird in the field with a simple receiver and small directional Yagi antenna.
