PTT-100 18 gram - Solar PTT

These tiny PTTs use a small solar array to charge an internal battery, under microprocessor control, that can power the PTT even in the dark.
As in our other solar powered PTTs, the lifetime limitation of a conventional lithium battery is eliminated by the solar power source. Some of our larger solar powered units have now been running continuously for over seven years!
Some of the prototypes are still transmitting after 4 years, one having successfully tracked a swallow-tailed kite from Florida to Brazil and back twice.

Our tiny 18 gram solar transmitter, shown
here deployed on a swallow-tailed kite, will allow
you to track smaller birds for a much longer period.
